Free Printable Scripture Bookmarks

Free Printable Scripture Bookmarks

It’s time for another free printable, don’t you think? This time I’m sharing some pretty bookmarks, just in time for chilly fall evenings spent cozying up and reading good books.  Hopefully, their purple floral design (borrowed from my personal favorite journal from More Like Grace’s collection) will bring a bit of summer into the wintry days ahead. But even more so, I hope their encouraging Scripture messages will offer seeds of encouragement that blossom into courage, kindness, and peace in your everyday, ordinary life.

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I need to hear a Bible verse many times before it really sinks in and begins to shape my heart.  Perhaps, in a simple way, seeing these bookmarks from time to time will help these truths become rooted in you:

  • Be still, and know that I am God. (Psalm 46:10)
  • Let all you do be done in love. (1 Corinthians 16:14)
  • Cling to what is good.  (Romans 12:9)
  • God is within her [you!], she will not fail. (Psalm 46:5)

And as always, I encourage you to share this resource with a friend too!  You’re welcome to print the file as many times as you’d like so you can share these lovely bookmarks with your mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, Bible study group . . . or anyone else who might need a simple act of kindness and encouragement today.

Picture showing two floral journals as giftsI’m also offering a couple of simple suggestions for how you can use these free bookmarks, along with a journal, to DIY a pretty gift in just a couple minutes for family and friends.  I’ll link to my own More Like Grace journals since they’ll perfectly match the bookmark design, but any journal will work.  With just a few supplies, you can put together a sweet journal package that would work great as a thank-you gift, hospital care package addition, or women’s ministry resource.  Of course, they’d be great for the traditional Christmas, birthday, and Mother’s Day presents as well.

So grab the free printable bookmarks by clicking the blue button below.  And then read on if you’d like to read the 2-minute gift ideas for creating a beautiful gift!

Two-Minute Gift Idea #1:

Supplies:

  • Journal  (from my More Like Grace collection, available on Amazon)
  • Twine (if you don’t have it on hand, you can grab some here: Twine is handy for so many crafty projects!)
  • Artificial Flowers/Sprig (I got my sprig at Hobby Lobby, but these would make a nice option too.)
  • Glue Dots  (optional)
  • Bookmark (grab free printable above)

How-To:  Print and cut out bookmarks.  Cut a piece of twin approx. 44″ long.  Place journal on center of twine and tie twine around it, making a small bow on top.  Tuck a bookmark and greenery sprig inside the twine.  If desired, you can secure the bookmark to the top of the journal with a glue dot so it won’t shift out of place.

Two-Minute Gift Idea #2:

Supplies:

  • Journal  (from my More Like Grace collection, available on Amazon)
  • Twine
  • Pen (Any pen will do, but these are my favorite for journaling–I love the perfect “scratch” as I write.)
  • Glue Dots  (optional)
  • Bookmark (grab free printable above)

How-To:  Print and cut out bookmarks.  Cut a piece of twin approx. 44″ long.  Place journal on center of twine and tie twine around it, making a small bow on top.  Hook the pen over your twine, and then add a bookmark.  If desired, you can secure the bookmark to the top of the journal with a glue dot so it won’t shift out of place.

However you use them, I hope these bookmarks help you–and whoever you share them with–connect to God’s presence in your life.  Reading, crafting, working, resting–He’s there, faithful and loving, even when we are not.  Willing to give us peace and joy, whenever we turn toward Him.
